Email support@jimdoes.it. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version, and the steps that led to the issue. Do not send private evidence unless you want support to receive it.
Permit Passport cannot look up a municipal file, certify code compliance, or tell you that a permit is officially closed. Contact the issuing authority or a qualified professional for official status.
How do I restore on another iPhone?
Sign in to the same Apple Account and make sure iCloud Drive and iCloud Keychain are available. Install Permit Passport, keep it open briefly, then use Settings → Sync now if the project has not appeared. The structured archive and evidence files are encrypted before private iCloud sync. Delays can occur while iCloud or Keychain catches up.
Will the app work without iCloud?
Yes. Every change is saved on-device first. The app continues to work from that local copy when iCloud is unavailable and can retry synchronization later.
Where did an evidence file go?
If the timeline entry is present but a file is still downloading, open Settings and choose Sync now while the device is online. The app preserves the on-device record rather than replacing it when a cloud file or encryption key is unavailable.
Does “Final passed” mean the permit is closed?
No. Permit Passport deliberately keeps final-inspection evidence separate from owner-provided official closure evidence. Only the issuing authority can establish its official record and status.
How does export protect photo privacy?
Export copies remove precise photo location by default. The originals stay unchanged in private storage. You can explicitly include precise location before exporting if it is necessary for your handoff.
What is included for free?
The free plan includes one project, up to 20 attachments, the full timeline and checklist, encrypted iCloud restore, and a watermarked binder preview. Permit Passport Pro adds unlimited projects and evidence, complete PDF and ZIP export, checklist templates, and scheduled reminders.
What happens if Pro ends?
Your existing records remain visible and intact. Only new premium actions are limited. Use Restore Purchases in Settings to refresh an active subscription, or manage it through your Apple Account subscriptions.
How do I delete a project?
Open Settings and choose Delete selected project, or choose Delete all saved data. Deletion is applied locally and reconciled to private iCloud when available. It does not change any municipal, contractor, or App Store record.
